Franziska Schmidt

F-Schmidt

Franziska joined SusTec in October 2023 as a Project Mobility Student to write her master’s thesis. Her work focused on the economic, technological, and political implications of different renewable hydrogen regulations to provide evidence-based guidance to practitioners and policymakers on the advantages and shortcomings of existing and proposed regulations.
She studied Business Administration and Electrical Power Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. She is driven by the potential of the energy transition to shape a sustainable future. During her studies, she gained practical experience as an intern at Siemens AG and McKinsey & Company and worked as a student assistant at Fraunhofer FIT.
In her free time, Franziska likes to be out in nature, whether jogging, sailing or simply walking with friends. She did an Alpine crossing from Oberstdorf to Merano earlier this year and is now looking forward to exploring the Swiss Alps.
