He holds an MSc degree in Energy Management and Sustainability from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (Download EPFL, Switzerland) as well a BSc in Energy Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (Download UPM, Spain). Previously, Alejandro worked in the solar photovoltaic industry as PV System Engineer at Download Cleanergetic Seers Solutions, in Madrid (Spain), and as Business Development Analyst at Download First Solar, in Dubai (U.A.E.). He gained experience in academia as research assistant in the Group of Corporate Renewal and Entrepreneurial Strategies in Technology (Download CET) and the Chair of Management of Network Industries (Download MIR), both in the College of Management (Download CDM) at EPFL. In 2015, he co-founded the Download Energy Business, Policy and Technology Group at EPFL, and since 2016, he is a co-founder and the Analytics Director of the Download Young leaders on Energy and Sustainability in Europe (YES-Europe) network.

In 2019, Alejandro co-founded the Download Energy Blog @ ETH Zurich creating a space for the discussion of the latest discoveries and most relevant topics around energy. In 2016, he was part of the founding team of Download YES-Europe, and a year earlier, in 2015, he co-founded the Energy Business, Policy and Technology Group at EPFL.
