Sustainability Start-Up Seminar

Ever wondered what it takes and what it’s like to get together with a group of motivated peers and develop your own start-up idea? And even better, one that is related to a sustainability topic that is close to your heart and mind? Then join the Sustainability Start-Up Seminar!

  • In lectures and workshops held by start-up experts and real-world entrepreneurs you will learn how to come up with start-up ideas and to develop them into a business.
  • During individual working session you’ll gain experience in developing, testing and presenting your idea and will eventually participate in a external page start-up competition.

In fact, the cohort of the spring semester 2014 developed three award-winning start-up ideas that received support, fame and cash (see the news here).

Voices from former Sustainability Start-Up Seminar participants:

„I highly recommend this course to any entrepreneurial student, because it makes you hungry to realize your own business idea and creates many new opportunities for you by providing the support and know-how needed in an interdisciplinary field.“

Laura Tschümperlin, Co-Founder external page NotQuiteYourAverageKitchen, Switzerland

„Huge opportunity to improve your ideation, organization and persuasion capability.“

Shunta Furukawa, exchange student from Keio University Tokyo, Japan

„Thanks to this course we were able to develop an award winning business idea out of a vague idea in our heads. There are also a lot of pitches.“

Thomas Lehmann, Co-Founder external page RADiesli, Switzerland

The course is organized by the Chair of Sustainability & Technology and is open to all interested students on Bachelor, Master and PhD level. Contact for further information.
