Dr. Malte Schneider
After staying at SusTec for his PhD from 2006-2009, Malte continued to work as senior researcher and post-doctorate until 2012. In addition, he worked for the newly founded European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community (Climate-KIC) where he was developing a programme (Climate-KIC Pathfinder) that aimed at fostering innovation through market analyses, policy recommendations for scaling-up innovation, and developing new European innovation projects.
Malte holds a diploma in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich with a focus on sustainable energy systems and control systems as well as accompanying lectures and projects in business and economics. He gained practical experience as a consultant for the UN (UNFCCC, UNCTAD) and with Siemens, Dalkia, the Inter-American Development Bank and myclimate.
