Simen Kjørstad

Simen is a master's student in the Energy Science and Technology program at ETH. He is interested in how different innovative technologies can contribute to the energy transition, including economic and political aspects.

During his Masters thesis at SusTec, Simen will work on an overview of business models for flexibility and sector coupling technologies used in Switzerland. He holds a BSc in renewable energy engineering from NTNU in Norway.

When he’s not busy with his studies, Simen loves being outside. He enjoys hiking in the beautiful Swiss mountains and ski touring during winter. Simen is also really into sports. He likes playing football and beating friends in games of ping pong.
