Innosuisse Flagship Launched to Transform Swiss Construction Industry
The Innosuisse Flagship SWIRCULAR (Circular Construction Digital Ecosystem) was officially kicked-off at the ETH Dozentenfoyer. Dr. Catharina Bening led discussions with the work package collaborators on value creation models for digital circular construction technologies.
The five-year SWIRCULAR initiative (Circular Construction Digital Ecosystem) brings together Swiss research institutions, industry partners, and public institutions. The Flagship aims to link the digital transformation in construction to circular economy solutions. The kick-off event took place at the ETH Dozentenfoyer amidst stunning views of the Swiss Alps, where Dr. Catharina Bening, Denise Reike, and Sophie Führer gathered with the project partners.
Led by Catharina Bening, discussions with the work package collaborators centred around exploring value creation models for digital circular construction technologies. At a later stage, these results will inform the development of a project demonstrator. The meeting marks the starting point for research activities within this Flagship supported by Innosuisse.
The Flagship focuses on collaborative development across legal, economic and technical innovations. The initiative aims to drive a significant shift towards a circular economy and digitalization in the construction sector, playing a pivotal role in Switzerland's journey towards a net-zero future.
