Fabian walked us through corporate sufficiency as economic decency, revoking discussion with his presentation entitled “ Corporate Sufficiency as Economic Decency – A Normative Approach To Aligning Business with Social and Ecological Limits”. According to Fabian, corporate sufficiency is guided by the ethical standard of decency: Firms guided by decency aim for the optimal integration of business activities into social and ecological limits through an unwavering commitment to responsibility, relationality, and excellence.

Lucrezia shared her research into the role of digital technologies in enabling circular economy, adopting a systemic lens with a focus on industrial symbiosis and circular ecosystems. According to Lucrezia, digital technologies represent a promising catalyst to enable the systemic transition towards Circular Economy, but some questions remain unanswered: how do digital platforms enable innovative approaches in the context of industrial symbiosis, and what drives - or hinders - circular ecosystems to leverage digital technologies?

Thank you both for the engaging presentations during the seminar and for visiting our team!
