Mikel Liu

Mikel joined SusTec in July 2022 to write his master thesis with Georgios Mavromatidis and Arnau Aliana. His thesis focused on modelling the Swiss energy system that allows the analysis of different policy mixes and their contribution towards the decarbonization of the energy system.

He has a MSc in Management, Technology and Economics at ETH and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Download Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During his studies, Mikel has gained practical experience as a consulting intern at Download Roland Berger and as a strategy intern at the R&D department of Download Audi AG. Furthermore, he spent a year in Beijing where he studied at Download Tsinghua University while working as an intern at Allianz.

In his spare time, Mikel enjoys cooking as well as playing and watching soccer ever since he was a kid.
