Marianne Kuhlmann
Marianne Kuhlmann joined Prof. Volker Hoffmann's Group for Sustainability and Technology in July 2018 as a PhD candidate on Circular Economy. Her work focused especially on the individual firm level, analyzing organizational capabilities and enablers for successful Circular Economy strategies.
Marianne holds a Master’s degree in Management, Organizations, and Governance from the Download London School of Economics and a dual Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from the Download European University Viadrina, Germany, and the Download Universidad Católica de Córdoba, Argentina. She also did an in-depth training on Design Thinking at the Download Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam. During her studies, Marianne received a merit-based scholarship from the Foundation of German Business (Download Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft).
Prior to joining SusTec, Marianne worked as a management consultant at Download McKinsey & Company in Berlin focusing on digitization, customer-focused innovation and Circular Economy. Marianne also gained broad experience in promoting tech entrepreneurs in Africa, in sustainable plant oil production at the Download Leuphana University of Lüneburg and in the promotion of public-private partnerships at the Download GIZ, among others. In 2017, she launched an initiative to promote the shift towards a Circular Economy in Germany through organizing events for students, young professionals, startups and corporates.
