Dr. des. Sebastian Kahlert
Sebastian joined Prof. Volker Hoffmann's Group for Sustainability and Technology in January 2020 as a PhD candidate on plastics recycling and circular economy. He studied Management and Technology at the Download Technical University of Munich (Germany) and the Download Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). During his studies, he focused on logistics, renewable energies and electric mobility. In his master thesis, Sebastian developed an agent based model to simulate the diffusion of electric vehicles together with the automotive consulting company Download FEV.
He was awarded scholarships from the Download Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the German Download Academic Exchange Service.
Prior to joining SusTec, Sebastian worked at Download McKinsey & Company as a management consultant focusing on digitization and resource productivity. Furthermore, he founded and currently co-leads the German Green Teams to improve the ecological sustainability at the company.
In his spare time, Sebastian likes to go hiking or cross-country skiing in the Alps.
