Florian presents findings, which show that the price is a less important factor for consumers buying Smart Home technology. Tillmann discusses the economic potential of photovoltaic as a power source for buildings, and outlines the opportunities, challenges - and also threats - that arise for utilities from the disruptive power of solar energy. The findings have significant repercussions on utility firm strategies, particularly in light of the imminent electricity market liberalisation in Switzerland.
