Guided by the title "Innovation for Sustainability: The Role of Technologies, Organizations, and Institutions" Download17 PhD students / postdoc researchers and four faculty members gathered in Appenzell to discuss the technological, organizational and institutional challenges of getting to a more sustainable future. Over the course of five days, junior researchers presented their projects on topics ranging from energy and water to electric vehicles and the circular economy. Participants also engaged in discussions with faculty on theories and research methods, potential pathways for an academic career, and how to stay focused on the problems at the heart of research on sustainability. In addition, the group had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Swiss landscape, culture and food. Thanks to everyone for making this year's Academy such a success! We are already looking forward to next year’s 10th anniversary.
