Sustec educators win PRI Prize for Best Pedagogical Innovation Award 2016
The finance track of SusTec’s corporate sustainability lecture has received the FIR-PRI Award 2016 for Best Pedagogical Innovation in sustainable finance. The track was first taught in Fall 2015.
The jury, which consisted of both academics and practitioners, recognized the innovative format as well as the practical relevance of the course. In the award-winning track, student teams advise a pension fund’s investment committee and are confronted with the fossil fuel divestment campaign. In response, they work out a sustainable investment strategy addressing the challenges of Water, Energy, Mobility, or Food. Their final delivery is a 5min video clip that pitches the investment strategy.
Congratulations to the course developers Julian Kölbel, Falko Paetzold, and Volker Hoffmann.
