SusTec proposal “Towards A sustainable CircuLar Economy – Combining a material flow with a business and policy perspective” (TACLE) has been approved to be funded by NFP 73

SusTec research in this project focuses on an more detailed understanding of changes in industry and selected value chains that are facing change related to Circular Economy.

In particular, we will focus on the role of firms, regulation and industry structure in order to understand the Circular Economy potential of certain products or technologies.
The project partners include, among others, the Download Chair of Ecological Systems Design who will complement the socioeconomic with a resource perspective.

NRP 73 "Sustainable Economy: resource-friendly, future-oriented, innovative" aims to generate scientific knowledge about a sustainable economy that uses natural resources sparingly, creates welfare and increases the competitiveness of the Swiss economy. NRP 73 will take account of the environment, the economy and society as well as all natural resources and stages of the value chain. The programme has a total budget of CHF 20 million for 5 years of research.
