SusTec and MTEC’s Teaching Innovation lab organize MIT’s “World Climate: Negotiating a Global Climate Change Agreement”

On 19 March, SusTec has invited Florian Kapmeier, Professor of System Dynamics at ESB. Together with Florian, we will experience an innovative simulation on “World Climate: Negotiating a Global Climate Change Agreement.”

ClimateSimulation

Download MIT’s World Climate is one of the most advanced teaching simulations and has won several international awards. World Climate is highly interactive and insightful; and it is fun! Download Take 3 min to see some impressions from the game

Florian worked at the Download Systems Dynamics group and the Download sustainability initiative at MIT SLOAN where he co-developed the World Climate simulation. It is a unique chance to learn and we are glad to have him. He’s an expert instructor of World Climate and facilitates the simulation on all level, from elementary schools to national ministries.

If you ever wanted to know how difficult it is for countries to negotiate international climate agreements or if you ever wondered how you could use the power of simulations in your teaching, feel free to contact Johannes Meuer or Erik Jentges to discuss opportunities to join!
